FATMAP - Outdoor Map and Guide App Reviews

Love the 3d maps and trail descriptions. This app functions as a great trail map, and very happy to see Crystal my home mountain. I wouldnt use this to track your runs though. Seems like a big lost opportunity. Maybe I just dont get the UI, but what I really wanted to see is where I skied today, the app doesnt seem to offer the feature of overlaying your tracks on the map??? Also couldnt find the battery saver feature - app ran until it drained my battery, most ski trackers auto shut off at 20% battery.

An unbelievable battery killer. Lost 10+% every 10 minutes I use the app - and that isnt even while tracking. Its pretty, but would never use it on the hill for that reason alone.

Maybe check out how Google Maps does it and do what they do when it comes to registration. Also, you have too many dominant colors in your UI, which makes it look amateurish. Make these fixes and I will definitely try out your app!

This is the most innovative outdoors app. Ive been skiing for years and freaked when I saw this. Would recommend for anyone beginner to advanced.

Im an avid skier and this app is unlike anything else on the market.

This has been super helpful during our trip to Killington. For anyone skiing pretty much anywhere (they have tons of maps), this is a must have

Cant believe its taken this long for something like this to come out!! Once I saw this on this on the web I immediately had to scope it out and its the real deal. Everyone in town shredding with me this was beyond impressed. We nailed spicy ridges hard and FATMAPS helped us hit them even harder! Dropping in on fresh pow made even better? Is it possible? YUP!!! Cant wait for the Breck to hit live. Thats my spot!!!

Been waiting for this one for a long time, highly anticipated! Did not disappoint. Definitely the gateway to the future of run mapping. Very easy to use, straight to the point. Clean interface. 5 star.

FIRST THING the app wants you to do is sign in with email or Facebook (and wants to see all your friends). What for? I just want to see the maps, not let some company send me spam and spy on me. Either put ads on it or charge me a dollar, dont do the spying crap. So sick of apps that do that!

Ive tried some other 3D trail apps and they are not even close to 3D as this... This is so cool

Amazing app that showcases what can really be done with 3D mapping! When I saw this on their website I was quite skeptical. Although, after downloading I was blown away by the quality, clarity, and ease of use that this app offered. For my week of skiing Zermatt this was the perfect app to find what trails I wanted to ski next. I hope that they have a better subscription service and a few more mountains like Mont-Tremblant, Stratton, and maybe even mountains in PAs Pocono region. Other than that this app is awesome.

Downloaded and discovered that they have virtually none of the BC or in bounds ski areas in Oregon. Will be deleting immediately. Call me when you have more than 12 maps available for download.

So tired of apps that do nothing unless you register and sign in. For a trail map? What? No thanks.
